Description
This is my new Robe à la Turque, a gown inspired after 18th century sources, a zone front short sleeved robe, over burgundy chiffron chemise a la reine imitating shirt and black skirt.
Underneath a 1770sh corset and a bum roll. Both my bum and bum roll are quite big so I thought excess underskirts weren't needed, but it looks like I have to add that underskirt (don't mind, it's freezing outside!) as it might give more period fullness to the taffeta.
All are polyester
I just quickly pinned hair up and added a plum to what I thought would be a rococo look... ended up looking more like a Saloon Girl from victorian wild west... Guess it's time to finish that blonde wig I have under construction in a hurry, for tomorrow is the ball...
Oh, and yes, that is HMS Victory on the wall

I like it very much but as you said, it looks alot like a saloon lady or from the Victorian eara.
Rococo has rather light colours, and more contrast, maybe that's the point. I still like it though!
