Pet-en-l'air front by rum-inspector Pet-en-l'air front by rum-inspector
18th century pet-en-l'air made by me.

The fabric is actually upholstery fabric, Cotton/polyester mix.

Skirt is just for the photo, sorry excuse for one and polyester sateen. I've worn this with green cotton skirt instead.

More pictures coming later... actually, the back pleats are "the thing" in this gown :)

Kiitos :) Olen siis ompelija, niin voin sanoa että tuo oli yllättävän helppo, oikeastaan näppärämpi tehdä kuin vaikka ihan tavan jakkupuku...

Oh wow... this is just sooo beautiful! If I had a gown like that, I'd have to give up my pirate costuming ways.

I had a look, and it's brilliant. That's really what I am in need of right now. A jacket! Boots too, but most importantly a jacket! I just wish patterns weren't made from tissue paper... I have no patience for it.

Lots of upholstery fabrics out there that are perfect for 18th c attire. I've found so much it fills me with such glee at the same time depressed since I don't have several thousands of dollars to get the fabric. LOL
Right nice. :)

I know... I could afford this because it was the end of the pack on 70% off sale and fortunately just enough to make this.

Really beautiful! Did you use a pattern or draft your own? I really love the way your sleeves turned out! I personally had trouble with my own. <3

Kiitos. Joo, on neuloilla tai ekalla kerralla kun käytin ja piti kestää koko päivä päällä niin harsin käsin kiinni... Toinen puoli on siis tossakin ommeltu kiinni ja toinen neuloilla
